View: Moyes has found answer to Everton problem with £17m player ready to explode
David Moyes has had a battle on his hands at Everton over the last couple of months but the situation may finally be getting better.
That being said, Jack Grealish is now expected to miss three months for Everton after sustaining a stress fracture in his foot.
It follows a period where the Toffees have been without Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye, who spent the last month at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), and the injured Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
However, the absentees have allowed Moyes to uncover a potential star in the making at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Merlin Rohl has finally settled at Everton
Merlin Rohl joined Everton from Freiburg last summer, on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for around £17million.
The 23-year-old struggled to break into the team at the start of the season, suffering from injury issues and only featuring five times in the Premier League before Christmas, without recording a single start.
In recent weeks, though, the midfielder has slowly forced his way into Moyes’ plans and is now showing his quality.
Rohl was excellent in the 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday, playing the full 90 minutes as the Toffees pulled off a shock result.
According to The Athletic, unlike fellow summer signing Thierno Barry, who has a massive entourage, Rohl has effectively moved to England by himself.
Speaking after the Villa game, Rohl said: “For me, it’s a change in surroundings. I’m on my own here, so it’s maybe a little bit of a change that you’re in a different country, trying to learn the language, trying to fit in, trying to understand the scousers.
“I’m doing everything to adapt, trying to get in some words that the scousers are using.”

Merlin Rohl is the answer to David Moyes’ problem
It’s clear that Rohl is now beginning to settle in Merseyside, and his performances on the pitch are replicating that.
With Gueye at AFCON, Moyes has struggled to find a midfielder to partner James Garner in the centre of the park, but the former Freiburg man is now stepping up.
At the age of 36, Gueye may only have limited time left at Everton, and the Toffees boss hasn’t yet found a successor for the Senegal international.
If Rohl keeps getting Premier League minutes though, he will surely continue to flourish and prove that he can be Moyes‘ starting midfielder for years to come.
