View: Moyes will be relieved after Everton injury latest, the numbers vs Liverpool prove it
David Moyes must be thanking his lucky stars after an injury update emerged on Beto after he went off in Everton‘s loss to Liverpool.
The Blues’ hitman was withdrawn in the 73rd minute after a clash of heads with Ibrahima Konate, and their threat was reduced massively after that.
Chris Beesley claimed on the Royal Blue podcast on 22 April that he has been told that it was not a concussion substitute, meaning the Guinea-Bissau forward does not have to go through those protocols.
That will be a relief as he would have potentially missed the clash with West Ham at the London Stadium on 25 April if he had been concussed.
Everton need Beto back urgently, and it seems as though a return may be on the cards after the latest update.

Why Beto’s fitness is crucial for Everton’s trip to West Ham
Beto’s Everton numbers have been among the best in Europe recently, and he was brilliant in the Merseyside Derby before his withdrawal.
He had four shots in that contest, with two on target, per Sofascore, and one of them was the equalising goal.
The 28-year-old completed 64 per cent of his 11 passes, creating one key pass and attempting two carries for a total distance of 32.4m.

He won the only tackle that he attempted, made three clearances and won one of the three ground duels that he contested, for a 33 per cent success rate.
He was willing to get stuck in at both ends, and that ultimately succeeded for the Blues against their arch-rivals, so it is crucial that he is back for the trip to face the Hammers.
Thierno Barry’s dismal showing proves the need for Beto
Thierno Barry’s introduction was the turning point in the game, as Moyes’ side lacked the presence upfront when he came on.
The French youth international also did not offer the defensive work rate that his teammate did, and those factors combined saw the Reds find their way back into the game and ultimately secure victory.
Barry failed to attempt a single shot, completed just 50 per cent of his six passes and lost possession with five of his nine total touches.

He did not make a single defensive contribution, and won two of four aerial duels, for a 50 per cent success rate.
The numbers prove that Beto is better option going forward, so the L3 club will be relieved that he should be available for selection after Beesley’s update.
