View: Rangers stalwart's latest admission should have alarm bells ringing for Rohl
John Souttar has perhaps been too honest after that 2-2 draw with Celtic on Sunday afternoon.
Danny Rohl‘s side threw away a 2-0 first-half lead through a Youssef Chermiti double, with goals from Kieran Tierney and a Reo Hatate penalty securing the comeback for the visitors at Ibrox.
The result on 1 March leaves Hearts six points clear of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership, with nine matches left to play.
Souttar may have sent alarm bells ringing for his manager after what he said after the disappointing result.

What did Souttar say after Rangers’ draw vs Celtic?
Gers stalwart Souttar admitted that supporters are right to question the players’ mentality after the draw with Martin O’Neill’s side.
Asked whether the side has a mentality problem after their arch-rivals came back, he said: “Yeah, of course, that’s going to be the question.
“And what I can say is, we need to be judged at the end of the season.
“There are nine games left and, if I were a fan looking just now, I’d be asking the same questions, it’s natural.”
The admission is far from ideal for Rohl, as the captain should have shut down any notion of an issue rather than entertaining it and fueling a potential media storm in the coming weeks.
Why was what Souttar said so bad?
Doubts may well be creeping into the Light Blues’ stars’ heads, but the skipper should not be admitting that it is potentially the case.
He should have spoken out in support of his teammates, rather than questioning them, as it could lead to dressing room tensions and derail any chance of catching Derek McInnes’ side.
There could well be plenty of twists and turns left in the title race, and the Jambos may well slip up, but the Bears need to be right there to capitalise, and they could do with as few distractions as possible as they try to catch the league leaders.
Souttar giving legs to the idea that they are not mentally strong enough surely will not help their case, as doubts and scrutiny may be further intensified now.
The squad need to reduce the pressure, not make it worse if they are to get the results that they need to lift the championship in May and stop the Tynecastle side from completing a remarkable campaign.
Right now, it looks like they are managing expectations and preparing supporters for the prospect that they do not get it done.
