View: Rohl's possible Rangers self-sabotage could be detrimental, Kris Boyd wouldn't do it
Danny Rohl could potentially be shooting himself in the foot at Rangers by chopping and changing the defence.
The German manager made three changes to his backline against Dundee United, with James Tavernier and Emmanuel Fernandez dropping to the bench, while Tuur Rommens is sidelined with an injury.
John Souttar looked uncomfortable at times alongside Nasser Djiga and there was no reason to tinker with the Wolves loanee’s strong partnership with the Nigeria international.
The 34-year-old right-back has also been a key player for the Light Blues in recent weeks with his attacking output, which has seen the former Sheffield Wednesday boss sustain an unbeaten run.
Rohl is in the driving seat at Ibrox, and while the 36-year-old head coach has done a brilliant job in Govan, he risks veering off track with his team selection.

Emmanuel Fernandez and Nasser Djiga decision a no-brainer at Rangers
Djiga and Fernandez were being scapegoated for the Gers’ dire performances at the start of the season, but the two have redeemed themselves in the eyes of fans.
Most supporters in G51 would want to see the Burkina Faso international and the former Peterborough United defender start for the Light Blues in the final six matches of the league campaign, but Rohl may have other ideas.

The German manager is dealing with a few fitness issues at Ibrox, but that doesn’t mean he has to make drastic personnel changes from one match to the next.
Stability will surely be key for the Glaswegian outfit in the final stretch of the season and it would make sense for Rohl to stick with a core group of players.
Speaking on The Warm-Up on 8 April, Kris Boyd said, “Rohl made three defensive changes to the team that beat Aberdeen. I wouldn’t be chopping and changing your team, especially defensively. You know how big of an impact that can have.”
Danny Rohl has fresh striker dilemma at Ibrox
Rangers could be without Ryan Naderi for the rest of the season, which will certainly be a massive blow for Rohl.
The German manager has relied on Youssef Chermiti and the former Hansa Rostock ace to lead the line in recent matches, but he will now need to make some attacking adjustments.

Bojan Miovski is one option to replace Naderi in the starting lineup, but the former Sheffield Wednesday boss may be content with Chermiti shouldering the burden up top with Thelo Aasgaard behind him.
Djeidi Gassama and Mikey Moore playing out wide could make up an interesting attack for the Glaswegian outfit to do what was once thought impossible: win the William Hill Premiership title this season.
