Danilo whereabouts revealed as Rangers star waits on last-ditch exit - report

Danilo’s future as a Rangers player remains unclear with just two hours of the transfer window left to go.

The Brazilian forward flew out to the Netherlands last week in the hope of completing a return to Eredivisie.

Danilo was in the stands for NEC Nijmegen’s win over AZ Alkmaar on Saturday, with the former the club he has seemed most likely to join.

However, a deal for Danilo – to NEC or otherwise – has yet to be made official. And the 26-year-old’s whereabouts on deadline day have now been documented.

Danilo still in Netherlands as Rangers exit uncertainty continues

Rangers could do with getting Danilo off their books before the window shuts at 11pm for Scottish clubs.

It is clear Danilo does not have a future at Ibrox, and it is equally clear he has found himself a better home in the Netherlands.

As per the Daily Record’s Andy Newport via X on Monday evening, Danilo remains in the Netherlands as he awaits news on whether he can complete his move to NEC.

Rangers will only green light the transfer if they are able to bring in Ryan Naderi from Hansa Rostock.

Naderi has been undergoing a medical in Manchester, but there is confusion as to whether he will join at the end of the season or right now.

Danilo is therefore left in limbo for a little while longer, although a conclusion will have to be reached very soon.

What is the latest on Ryan Naderi’s move to Rangers?

It was reported at around 6pm on Monday that Naderi had completed the first part of his Rangers medical.

However, there has been very little in the way of any concrete updates since then.

It seems Rostock are playing hardball when it comes to reaching an agreement with Rangers, as they want to keep the striker for the next three months.

Rangers, given they are paying a record fee for a German third-tier player, want him now in order to help with their fading title chances.

All Danilo can do is await any sort of confirmation on the Naderi deal one way or another before he knows if he can complete his own transfer.
