Everton learn 'likeliest scenario' for Grealish as timeframe emerges - report
Everton are exploring the option of re-signing Jack Grealish for next season, with a loan move new appearing the most likely outcome.
The 30-year-old had notched two goals and six assists in 22 matches before suffering a foot fracture in January, which ruled him out for the rest of the season.
As per the agreement when joining the Toffees on loan from Man City last summer, Everton have the option to buy Grealish for £50million at the end of the season.
However, that looks very unlikely due to financial restrictions, which may leave the Toffees exploring other options that are more realistic.
Although Everton would love to land Grealish outright, they may have to settle for another loan agreement with Man City.

Everton set to explore second loan deal for Jack Grealish
The 30-year-old was a star for his boyhood club Aston Villa, but he was never the same following his £100m move to Man City in 2021 – even if he did rack up the honours.
Grealish won nine trophies under Pep Guardiola, but he found himself at the bottom of the pecking order after the 2022-23 campaign.
Stat Grealish Appearances 210 Goals 29 Assists 34 Pass accuracy 87% Successful dribbles 60% Minutes played 14,432
Having been such a direct and tricky winger earlier in his career, he seemed to have lost his way in Manchester.
However, Grealish rediscovered his love for football while playing for the Toffees this season, and it seems to be a perfect match for him at this stage of his career.
The Independent reports that a loan is the likeliest scenario, although it is probable that nothing will be arranged until after the end of this season.
In some ways, landing a player of Grealish’s quality on loan for another season, before then potentially snapping him up for a smaller fee, leaves The Friedkin Group in dreamland.
David Moyes is particularly keen to keep Grealish, who has made a difference both on and off the pitch for the Blues.

The Sofascore graphic above shows that he had a brilliant impact at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and it’s no surprise that the fans fell in love with him right from the off.
How have Everton coped without Grealish?
Grealish was instrumental in Everton’s first game at their new ground by assisting both goals in a 2-0 win over Brighton, and his season went from strength to strength in the latter stages of 2025.
And the winger’s absence from the team is clearly felt at the moment.
Dwight McNeil has come into the side, and while he has impressed in spells, his lack of output in the final third is a hindrance.

Meanwhile, the loan signing of Tyrique George in the winter transfer window left Everton fans very excited, but he is yet to register a goal contribution in L4.
The Toffees lack firepower in attack, and it’s definitely an area that they’ll look to improve on in the summer.
So why shouldn’t they explore another deal for Grealish, who has become an instant hit for Everton?
