Everton line up loan deal for PSG star - Sources

Goodison News understands that Everton hold an interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Fabian Ruiz.

Everton suffered an FA Cup defeat to Sunderland on Saturday, showcasing a severe lack of depth that David Moyes has at his disposal.

Tyler Dibling failed to take his chance, as did Merlin Rohl, with the likes of Beto and Dwight McNeil struggling as usual.

The Toffees are hoping to rectify some of their depth concerns in January, and a move for Fabian from PSG is on the cards.

PSG stance on Fabian transfer shared

Fabian has often been linked with a move to the Premier League, and this time it’s Everton that have shown an initial loan interest, Goodison News understands.

The 29-year-old Spaniard has been a regular for the Ligue 1 giants ever since joining from Napoli in 2022, and it has been no different this season.

Fabian has five goals and four assists in 28 appearances for PSG, five of which have come in this season’s Champions League.

As a result, PSG are not looking to move Fabian on anytime soon, amid interest from clubs in Spain and in Turkey.

Galatasaray have had an offer rebuffed by the French outfit, and it’s likely that Everton would have a similar fate if they were to pursue a deal.

However, signing another central midfielder is starting to look like a priority for the Toffees.

Everton have also been linked with a La Liga midfielder

Conor Gallagher also emerged as a target for Everton earlier in the window, with several other Premier League clubs in the race.

Atletico Madrid are looking to offload several players in January, and Gallagher is one of those that they are believed to be willing to part ways with due to the lack of gametime he has had in Spain.

The former Chelsea star has been afforded just four league starts under Diego Simeone this season, with 665 minutes of La Liga football played.

It remains to be seen if the Toffees push further with that interest, with a deal for Fabian looking increasingly unlikely unless PSG were to sign a replacement.
