RB Leipzig are ready to field “big offers” for winger Yan Diomande amid interest from Liverpool and Manchester United, sources have told Football Insider.

The Premier League duo are preparing to accelerate their interest in the 19-year-old starlet, with Bayern Munich also showing a significant interest in his services.

RB Leipzig don’t want to lose the forward, but they have accepted that they will sell him at the right price, and sources have indicated that the race for his signature is currently wide open.

Diomande is regarded as one of the brightest young attacking talents in Europe, and he is expected to be one of the biggest stories of this summer’s window.

Liverpool’s long-term transfer plans have identified him as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, while Man United are set to have significant financial muscle behind them if they secure Champions League qualification.

How much do RB Leipzig want for Yan Diomande?

Football Insider revealed back in February that Tottenham were set to be priced out of a move for Diomande this summer, due to the significant price tag that Leipzig have placed on him.

The Ivory Coast international has risen to prominence for the Bundesliga outfit this term, given that he has already notched 14 goal involvements from just 23 league appearances.

Leipzig shelled out £17million to sign him from Leganes last summer, and after the way that he has flourished so far this season, it has quickly become clear that they are about to land an astronomical profit on that investment.

Premier League clubs will need to come to the table with an offer in the region of the £80m mark if they want to secure his services this summer.

Leipzig have gained a reputation for completing huge sales in recent years, with the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai, Benjamin Sesko and Xavi Simons all moving to England for big money, and Diomande could become the next to make that switch.

Liverpool have second option for Mohamed Salah replacement

Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insider last week that Liverpool think Rio Ngumoha could eventually become their replacement for Salah.

The veteran Egyptian looks increasingly likely to depart Anfield at the end of the season, due to sustained interest in his services from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

17-year-old Ngumoha has burst onto the scene as part of Arne Slot’s first-team squad, making 11 league appearances so far this term, and even netting a dramatic stoppage-time winner against Newcastle as his first professional goal.

The wideman has gone from strength to strength since he moved to Merseyside from Chelsea back in 2024, and he is now being viewed as a potential replacement for Salah from within.

If Liverpool ultimately opt against spending big on Diomande, then Ngumoha could be set for an even bigger role in their plans for 2026-27.
