Igor Tudor edges closer to Tottenham sack as ‘conversations have taken place’ already

Tottenham are already discussing the potential sacking of Igor Tudor following the Croatian’s difficult start to life in North London.

Tudor has lost both of his first two games in charge, against Arsenal and Fulham respectively, with little evidence to suggest that the situation is improving.

The Lilywhites are firmly in a Premier League relegation battle, just four points clear of the drop zone with 10 games remaining.

Spurs face Crystal Palace on Thursday evening, and there are now rumours circulating that Tudor could be dismissed if he oversees a third successive defeat.

Tottenham Hotspur Head Coach Igor Tudor arms folded vs Arsenal.

Igor Tudor dismissal can’t be ruled out

Tudor replaced Thomas Frank just over a month ago, coming in on an interim basis until the end of the season.

However, after failing to spark any sort of turnaround in his first two games, the 47-year-old is already coming under some pressure.

Despite Thursday’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace only being Tudor’s third match in charge, it could be a must-win for the former Juventus boss if he wants to keep his job at Spurs.

Tottenham expert Paul O’Keefe believes that if the Lilywhites are beaten by Palace, you can’t rule out a change of manager.

O’Keefe was asked whether Tudor’s job would be at risk if he oversaw a defeat against the Eagles, and replied: “It’s Tottenham. Never rule anything out. I’m pretty certain those conversations would have taken place.”

Tottenham terrified of Premier League relegation

For much of the season, it seemed almost impossible that Tottenham would be relegated, despite their poor form, but the hierarchy are clearly taking the situation seriously now.

Sitting 16th in the table, Spurs are winless in the Premier League in 2026, and have picked up just four points from their last 10 games.

Van de Ven stats

The North London club simply cannot afford to drop into the Championship, as it would have catastrophic consequences in terms of transfer activity and finances.

Therefore, if Tudor continues to underwhelm and is unable to start getting results, then the Tottenham board will be forced to take action.
