Fenerbahce prioritise Pape Matar Sarr signing after failed move for Tottenham teammate
Fenerbahce are set to make an attempt to sign Pape Matar Sarr from Tottenham this summer.
That is according to a report from Africa Foot, which states that the Senegal midfielder has become one of their priority targets ahead of the summer window.
The Turkish giants made an attempt to sign Yves Bissouma last summer, though negotiations fell through in that regard.
Galatasaray have also been credited with an interest in Sarr, who has started just 10 of the 19 Premier League games he has featured in this season.
Sarr‘s contract in North London runs until 2030, putting Tottenham in good standing to get a reasonable fee should they opt to sell him.

Tottenham could be open to Pape Matar Sarr exit
The report also adds that Spurs could sell the midfielder to the highest bidder, and the likelihood of that happening will only increase if they suffer relegation.
Ahead of the final 10 games of the season, Spurs sit just four points above the drop zone, and still have one of their relegation rivals, Nottingham Forest, to play.
Sarr joined Tottenham almost five years ago in a deal worth over £14.6million including add-ons, and would likely get at least double that if they were to move him on.
Like most players at Tottenham this season, Sarr has struggled to have much of an influence across all competitions, which certainly casts doubt over his future.
Why it would make little sense to sell Sarr this summer
Sarr is not the perfect midfielder, but it’s important to note that he is still just 23 years old.
Spurs signed him as a teenager, and to allow him all that time to develop just to sell him when he starts to improve would not be surprising, but it would be a mistake.
While he has been far from his best this season, their younger players are the only positives to have emerged from the current campaign, and continuing their development has to be their priority.
Tottenham need to continue blooding their up-and-coming players and improve the senior stars around them to get out of their current predicament.
