Ibrox View: Rangers star could face disciplinary action after fiery moment caught in Ibrox aftermath v Celtic
Rangers‘ Nedim Bajrami could be in trouble following the ugly aftermath of Rangers’ Scottish Cup defeat to Celtic on Sunday.
The Bears were beaten on penalties by Celtic as the travelling supporters decided to pitch invade Ibrox after their sides winning penalty hit the back of the net.
It sparked an expected retaliation from some Gers supporters who then entered the pitch, as both Rangers and Celtic will most likely face punishment for the full-time scenes.
Protection of players was also a priority, as well as fan safety, when people started to enter the pitch, and players from both sides were urged to head down the tunnel instantly.
Rangers could face further punishment, especially if Nedim Bajrami is deemed to have conducted inappropriate behaviour after the full-time whistle.

Nedim Bajrami in physical altercation with Celtic figure on camera
Club statements and investigations are to follow from the pitch invasions, and it’s likely that Celtic fans will never see a full allocation for the Broomloan Stand ever again.
Rangers and Celtic reached a compromise over the control of fans at Old Firm matches, and all progress and agreements may now have taken a massive hit from what ensued on Sunday.
Many players were seen heading for the changing rooms when fans broke onto the pitch, but Bajrami perhaps should have left the field a lot sooner than he did.
- Bajrami came on for Mikey Moore in the 77th minute
- He has only featured 19 times in all competitions for Rangers this season
Bajrami has been seen on a video swinging his arm in the direction of a Celtic figure, who looks to be a physio, after the latter appeared to reach down and grab something off the floor near the Rangers star, who then had to be held back.
The Bears could face a charge for the conduct of their own player, as it would be a surprise to see the winger escape punishment, considering the video has been seen by thousands now.

The full video, which includes abusive language, is on X for supporters to see, and they can make their own judgment on whether Bajrami took it a step too far.
Danny Rohl made a bizarre decision with Bajrami
Bajrami has been tipped for an Ibrox exit recently, and many were surprised to see him stay beyond the winter market.
The attacker hasn’t seen much success in a Rangers shirt, as so far it’s been hard to justify the money that Gers paid for the former Sassuolo star.
Games 63 Goals 7 Assists 5
While his passion for the Bears is clearly there, his skill isn’t as much, and Danny Rohl’s call to put him on the field for Mikey Moore is another decision which will baffle.
Bajrami offered Rangers very little going forward, despite playing against a depleted Celtic team deep into extra time.
Time will tell, but it’s not looking good for the 27-year-old.
