Tottenham star James Maddison reacts as Jack Grealish sends new injury message
Tottenham Hotspur star James Maddison has sent a message of support to Jack Grealish amid his injury recovery.
Like Grealish, Maddison has had a season disrupted by injury, with the attacking midfielder suffering an anterior cruciate ligament problem last summer.
The England international is unlikely to feature again this term, a fate shared by Everton loanee Grealish, who had surgery on a foot stress fracture in early February.
Despite this setback, which likely ends his chances of playing at this summer’s World Cup with England in North America, Grealish appears to be staying positive.
While he has vowed to come back “stronger than ever”, the well-wishers, including Tottenham’s injured Maddison, have come out in force to give him a little bit of extra support.

Jack Grealish and James Maddison making progress
On Sunday, Grealish posted numerous pictures on Instagram detailing his injury recovery over the past four weeks.
The photos show how the 30-year-old had to have his foot tightly wrapped in the wake of his surgery, and he has also been forced to wear a moon boot.
At times, the Manchester City loanee has had to keep his severely strapped foot elevated to aid his recovery, while also using a knee scooter to get around.
When the post dropped on Sunday night, Maddison was quick to praise his compatriot, with the 29-year-old posting three clapping emojis.
He was joined by the likes of City’s Nathan Ake, Oleksandr Zinchenko and a raft of Everton fans, many of whom hope the winger signs for them permanently in the summer.
Incidentally, in late January, Maddison posted photos of his own recovery, with the attacking midfielder writing that he was another day closer while completing individual training.
As Tottenham try and stay in the Premier League this season, they could really do with a player of Maddison’s quality. Whether that happens remains to be seen.
Tottenham face worrying realisation in relegation fight
Tottenham sit 16th in the Premier League table, just one point above the relegation zone with nine matches to play.
Spurs are the current Europa League holders and have a Champions League last-16 double header against Atletico Madrid to look forward to, and yet, they could still get relegated.
One thing that is not helping their cause is Maddison and Tottenham teammate Dejan Kulusevski’s injuries, with the pair not playing a single minute this season.

Winger Wilson Odobert is also out for the season with a knee injury, and fellow wideman Mohammed Kudus is unavailable until April at the earliest.
Midfielders Lucas Bergvall and Rodrigo Bentancur are out until April and May, respectively, while Ben Davies could return next month.
However, Igor Tudor’s side need results now and by the time the aforementioned players return, it could be too late in their relegation battle.
Spurs haven’t won in the league since 28 December, so they need a minor miracle to get out of this wretched situation.
Summer Focus: Survival contingent
