'It's my understanding...' - Keith Jackson reveals latest on Rangers vs Celtic fan control amid SPFL talks
Old Firm games could have a drastic change regarding fan allocation for both Rangers and Celtic supporters next season.
After the Scottish Cup Quarter-final drama at Ibrox last weekend, all progress that had been made between the two sides seemed to be reversed.
A pitch invasion from travelling Celtic supporters encouraged some Gers fans to also enter the field, resulting in ugly full-time scenes.
The Scottish FA has investigated different points of the aftermath of Rangers’ loss to Celtic, as a decision will need to be made before the final Old Firm clash of the season for the post-split fixture.

Keith Jackson says ‘no attempt’ made to alter Rangers and Celtic agreement
Rangers and Celtic haven’t released official statements over what ensued after the full-time whistle on Sunday, as both will want the best for their own side.
Many big figures in Scottish football have come out to say how they were disgusted to see what had happened, especially considering that the Broomloan Stand was full of Celtic fans for the first time in eight years.
- 2000 plus Celtic fans were allowed into Ibrox for the 2-2 draw in the league
- Due to Scottish Cup rules, more than 7000 Hoops supporters were allowed to fill out the Broomloan Stand this time
Many have been wondering what happens next when Rangers face off with the Bhoys next in the post-split fixture, but Keith Jackson seems to have a good idea.
Jackson said, as quoted by Daily Record: “It’s my understanding that the SPFL has already been in talks with the police about the next one, the post-split game at Celtic Park.
“As things stand, I am led to believe anyway, there has been no attempt to alter the agreement which is already in place for this season for away allocations. As things stand, Rangers will get the same allocation that they had previously which is around 2500 in that corner at the away end at Celtic Park.”
Things can change, of course, but there are some who would argue that the suggested 2500 Gers fans should be allowed in, so long as the police up their game.
The Danny Rohl record that is starting to worry Rangers fans
Danny Rohl has been questioned regarding his future as Rangers boss following the defeat to Celtic, which takes the Bears to a skid of three winless games in all competitions.
Gers are still in with a chance of winning the league, but with not much of the season left, there seems to be a big mountain ahead for the German head coach and his players to climb.
Especially because when Rangers travel to Celtic Park once more, they will most likely need three points, something Rohl finds hard to do against the Hoops.
Games 4 Wins 1 Draws 1 Losses 2 Win percentage 25%
Rohl has come up against Celtic four times this season in different competitions, and his only win over Rangers’ arch-nemesis came against Wilfried Nancy.
A 25 per cent win ratio doesn’t make for good readings, as he will surely need to find a way to turn this record into a more positive one in time to come.
