The match serves different purposes for both teams. For Eric Chelle's men, it's an opportunity to infuse new tactical ideas and bring in new players ahead of the AFCON 2027 qualifiers.

For Jordan, every game is a test of fortitude, technical and mental, as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup this summer, having been drawn into the same group with Algeria, Austria, and Argentina.

Jordan, under the tutelage of Jamal Sellami, play a compact system that keeps them defensively solid, while they look to counter whenever they have the ball.

Nigeria, on the other hand, with Chelle's diamond formation, are fine with and without the ball, often playing through central areas with key exchange of intricate passes to open up the opposition.
