Lazio slam door on offers from two Premier League clubs for Super Eagles star Dele-Bashiru
Italian Serie A club Lazio shut the door on a potential exit for Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in the January transfer window, Soccernet.ng reports.
Dele-Bashiru joined Lazio from Turkish Super Lig club Hatayspor two years ago, but it has been a topsy-turvy stay for him so far.
The managerial changes have affected him adversely, and injuries have also dealt him a bad hand, causing a stop-start season.
This term, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder has featured in just 11 games across all competitions, spending a significant chunk of the campaign on the bench.

Despite his lack of minutes, Dele-Bashiru has attracted considerable interest from abroad. In recent weeks, reports have linked him to clubs such as Trabzonspor and several Premier League sides, though none were able to finalize a deal with Lazio.

In a fresh development on Monday, transfer expert Nicolo Schira reported that Premier League clubs Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest showed serious interest in signing the 24-year-old during the just-concluded transfer window. However, the move failed to materialize because Lazio blocked the transfer.
The Serie A club had a busy winter transfer window, with several departures and new arrivals.
But ultimately, the club's hierarchy decided to keep Dele-Bashiru, as he informed them that he still wants to stay and they view him as an integral part of the squad.
The Next Few Months Will Be Key For Fisayo Dele-Bashiru At Lazio
Although Lazio decided against selling Fisayo Dele-Bashiru to his Premier League suitors, a lot could still change in the coming months.

He has not exactly been convincing since joining the club two years ago. But he has a chance to prove his quality in the coming months.
Dele-Bashiru is a high-octane attacking midfielder, who likes to drive the ball and get into dangerous positions. But he can also play as a central midfielder and do a good job.
He still has over two years left on his contract, and Lazio would want a certain level of consistency from him, so that his value will go up and they can make a decent profit from a sale when they eventually decide to do business.
