Man Utd target Arsenal fan favourite amid doubts over Luke Shaw
Manchester United are looking to add a left-back to their squad in the summer and an Arsenal teenager is on their shopping list.
The Red Devils are on course to return to European football next season, sitting third in the Premier League table with a Champions League finish firmly in their hands.
After early exits from the domestic cups this season, along with no European action, their playing schedule has been light and additions will be needed as they look to compete on more fronts.
Luke Shaw has been in good form this campaign at left-back and avoided the kind of injuries that have curtailed recent seasons.
The 30-year-old has made 32 appearances in all competitions, more than the previous two seasons combined, and has improved his chances of a return to the England squad.
However, with Tyrell Malacia leaving the club this year and Patrick Dorgu appearing more suited to play as a winger, the Red Devils are looking for a new arrival at left-back to support Shaw next season, with doubts over his ability to handle a busier campaign.
TalkSPORT report that Manchester United will look to sign two midfielders and a left-back this summer, with focus on players with Premier League experience where possible.

TeamTalk report that their list of targets for the left side of defence includes Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly, who has fallen down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta this season.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a brilliant breakthrough campaign last time round, making 39 appearances in all competitions and bursting into the England set-up as he quickly became a favourite among Gunners fans.
The teenager scored on his England debut in March last year and has picked up six caps, but now looks nowhere near Thomas Tuchel’s squad as he has made just one Premier League start this season.
Lewis-Skelly has made 27 appearances in all competitions this season, but after impressing at left-back last campaign, he is now behind Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori in Arteta’s plans.
Manchester United could look to capitalise on the situation this summer, while they also have experienced Premier League campaigners Tyrick Mitchell and Antonee Robinson on their list of targets.
26-year-old Crystal Palace star Mitchell is also an England international, winning two caps in 2022, and has made over 200 appearances for the Eagles since his debut in 2020.
USA international Robinson has long been linked with a move away from Fulham, but the 28-year-old remains under contract at Craven Cottage until 2028.
All three targets could be tempted by a move to Old Trafford, especially if Champions League football is on offer.
Lewis-Skelly is keen to add to his six England caps and his chances of doing so are very slim if he is not starting Premier League games with Arsenal.
He only signed a new long-term contract in north London in June last year, which runs until 2030.
