Arsenal supporters have Marc Guehi for the Premier League title after Manchester City failed to beat West Ham at the London Stadium.

That is according to infuriated Man City fans after the 1-1 draw on Saturday, 14 March, with the former Crystal Palace defender missing from close range to secure all three points away from home.

Pep Guardiola had his head in his hands at the full-time whistle, as the Citizens fell nine points behind their rivals in the race for the Premier League title, just hours after the Gunners beat Everton.

Man City still have matches remaining, so a dramatic turnaround is not yet mathematically impossible, but supporters appear to have accepted defeat after Guehi’s awful last-minute miss against the Hammers.

Guehi is now being accused of handing the title straight to the Gunners with his miss at the London Stadium, firing straight over the crossbar from inside the six-yard box.

The defender’s finish has been described as “scandalous” and “despicable,” and while others have blamed Erling Haaland for an invisible display, the winter window signing is being ripped apart.

Another has told Guardiola that the England international “cannot play against Real Madrid” in the Champions League next week, but that seems highly unlikely given the aggregate score.

Man City fans have accepted defeat to Arsenal

Disappointingly, City fans have come to terms with the idea of the Gunners lifting the Premier League title, with the gap now growing to nine points after the weekend’s results.

Speaking to Football Insider, Keith Wyness predicted Arsenal or Man City to falter in the race for the trophy this season, and that appears to have come to fruition in East London.

The Citizens have already begun congratulating their rivals on social media, despite eight games remaining for the 10-time champions and the two sides yet to meet at the Etihad.

There is still time for more twists and turns, but City fans are done keeping an optimistic outlook, it would appear.
