Marseille make late move to sign Everton defender on loan-to-buy basis - report
Adam Aznou’s future at Everton hangs in the balance.
The transfer market shuts at 7:00pm on Monday, and it’s clear that the Toffees are still conducting business.
Tyrique George is on the verge of joining Everton, while Nathan Patterson is among those who could leave before the deadline.
Despite impressing in the FA Cup third-round defeat to Sunderland, Aznou could leave the Toffees for a loan move to Marseille.

Marseille make loan-to-buy offer for Adam Aznou
The Moroccan full-back has hardly featured for Everton since joining from Bayern Munich in the summer.
He signed a four-year contract with the Toffees after completing the £10.6million move, although he has failed to displace Vitalii Mykolenko in the starting lineup.
Aznou has been linked with leaving Everton, and it now looks as if he could be on his way to France.
TEAMtalk football correspondent Fraser Fletcher reported that Marseille have made a late push to sign Aznou.
The French giants are aiming to strike a deal for a loan move that also has an option to buy the left-back on a permanent basis.
It appears to have been a huge waste of funds to sign the 19-year-old, and it could leave Moyes with a problem in his squad.
Everton would have little depth at left-back if Aznou leaves
It was thought that he could have an impact in the domestic cup competitions, but early exits in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup certainly haven’t helped.
Aznou clearly has a lot of promise, yet David Moyes is sure on the fact that he hasn’t reached the required level to play in the Premier League just yet.
Looking at his stats from the Sunderland loss via Sofascore, Aznou completed 24 touches and won a penalty for the Toffees, which James Garner converted.

An serious injury to Mykolenko would now leave Everton stretched, and Jarrad Branthwaite is the most likely option to cover him at left-back.
However, his injury record makes him unreliable, and with such little time left to sign a replacement, it may not be prudent to let Aznou leave.
Therefore, the potential move to Marseille could have a big impact on Everton’s season.
