'Significant' - Kaveh Solhekol shares detail he knows in Everton, Chelsea agreement for George
Everton managed to get a deadline-day deal over the line for Chelsea winger Tyrique George.
George arrives at Hill Dickinson Stadium on an initial loan, with an option for Everton to buy in the summer.
Everton confirmed the arrival of the talented attacker around the same time that Dwight McNeil’s proposed move to Crystal Palace collapsed.
And some fresh details on the agreement in place between Everton and Chelsea have now been shared by Kaveh Solhekol.

Everton will have to pay in excess of £22m for Tyrique George
George has showed glimpses of what he is capable of at Stamford Bridge, but has not truly had a run of games to properly showcase his talents – as highlighted by the Sofascore graphic above.
However, it is clear how highly Chelsea value the youngster given he was the subject of a £22million bid from West London rivals Fulham in the summer.
And as reported by Solhekol on Sky Sports News on Monday evening – somewhat reluctantly – it will take a bid higher than that for Everton to sign him in the summer.
“What does surprise me is the size of the option,” he said. “I’ve been told what the price is but been asked not to reveal it.”
The Sky Sports reporter was then pressed on spilling the beans, to which he said: “I can’t… but the option price is significant and is more than Fulham were willing to pay for him last summer.”
As a reminder, Everton have an option to buy George and not an obligation, so this will be a test drive so to speak.
What has George said about joining Everton?
George’s arrival on Merseyside is much needed given the season-ending injury sustained by Jack Grealish.
He is the Toffees’ only arrival of the window, coming in the final seconds after a deal sheet was submitted to the Premier League.
And George has revealed the part both the Everton fans and David Moyes had in his decision to join for at least the next three-and-a-half months.
“The fans here are exceptional. I know Evertonians are really passionate. They like hard work – and that’s what I’m going to show,” he told Everton’s official website.
“The gaffer, David Moyes, was another reason [I wanted to join]. He’s an amazing manager who has coached so many players, like Wayne Rooney, and players like that. I’ve had a brief conversation with him and he’s an amazing person as well.
“I just want to enjoy it, learn under him and improve.”
Everton fans will now hope George hits the ground running when the Toffees face Fulham at craven Cottage next weekend.
