Tottenham Expert would love big-money ace at Tottenham, but far bigger concerns ahead
Mohamed Salah would walk into Tottenham Hotspur‘s starting line-up, but the club have been warned that there are far bigger issues.
Salah announced his decision to quit Liverpool after nine years at Anfield, sparking speculation about where his future will lie.
The Egyptian forward was a menace to Spurs in his time with the Reds, scoring 16 goals and notching five assists in 25 matches against them.
Tottenham could make an ambitious attempt to bring him to North London, but the chances of a move have been dismissed.

Why Tottenham move for Salah has been ruled out
John Wenham believes there are far more important problems that would stop Tottenham making a move for Salah.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, the Spurs expert said: “I mean, his form has not been what it was in previous years, but for Liverpool’s point of view as well, he’s on £400,000 a week or whatever it is.

“The performances this year probably haven’t warranted that. I know people have said they’ve missed out on the transfer fee, but football doesn’t work like that anymore.
“People are interested in being compliant with FFP and the Premier League’s own regulations, PSR.
“Paying someone 400k a week that isn’t doing it on the pitch, sometimes you’ve just got to move them on, but he would walk in at Tottenham.

“He would be our best player, but sometimes players do get to that point in their career, like we saw the decline in Son.
”He’s still an outstanding player and, you know, reputationally, bringing in a player of that quality would be massive for Tottenham, but right now, that can be of no concern to them, they’re just focused on staying in the division.”
What are the bigger problems for Tottenham?
Unfortunately, Wenham is spot on, the Lilywhites cannot even think about potential incomings at the moment, given the insecurity of their top-flight status.
They are just one point above the relegation zone with seven matches left to play, with no manager and have the worst form in the division.
The fact that Salah wants to add to his legacy and win the highest honours probably rules out the N17 outfit anyway, as they look nowhere near trophy contention at the moment.
