Tottenham: Wilson Odobert’s contract examined as injury woes continue in N17
Tottenham Hotspur continue to deal with Wilson Odobert and his frequent injury troubles.
The Frenchman signed from Burnley in the summer of 2024 but has struggled to maintain consistent form in N17.
That has been largely due to regular fitness problems that have left him, and many of his teammates, watching on from the sidelines.
The Lilywhites have been without the winger since February, when he was forced off against Newcastle United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
With relegation potentially on the cards, Odobert could face an uncertain future at Tottenham as we assess what we know about his current deal.

What is Wilson Odobert’s contract situation at Tottenham?
There is a general feeling that the France under-21 international can become a top player in North London.
That is always going to be on hold while he is injured, even after some positive signs in the Premier League this campaign.
Stat (Premier League 2025/26) Wilson Odobert Matches 24 Starts 10 Assists 2 Shots 22 Chances created 20 Successful dribbles 24
The problem is that he’s only managed 33 appearances this campaign before being forced into the treatment room once again.
That makes his reported £40,000 per week wage look like poor value, especially when paying over £2million for his yearly wage.
Spurs are locked into that until the summer of 2029 after the winger put pen to paper on a five-year deal after his move from Burnley two years ago.
Tottenham got really bad news about Odobert’s injury earlier in the season and it certainly isn’t the first time that has happened.
How many games has Odobert missed for Tottenham?
The Lilywhites could forgive the ex-PSG youngster for being out every now and then, but that hasn’t been the case.
He certainly doesn’t do things by halves, as Odobert has missed at least eight games in each of his injury lay-offs for Spurs.
His current spell on the sidelines has lasted 73 days and has seen him ruled out of nine games and looks set to be many more.

That has added to the 37 games and 146 days he has already missed through injury in North London despite only signing two years ago.
Odobert has currently missed over 215 days of action at Tottenham, with his latest issue adding to that tally on a daily basis.
