Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could be absolutely pivotal in Everton’s pursuit of Chelsea winger Tyrique George.

Everton are set to sign George on loan until the end of the season after reaching an agreement with the West London side.

The 19-year-old has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs over the last few months, but the Toffees look to have won the race for him.

With the transfer set to be confirmed on deadline day, midfielder Dewsbury-Hall will surely be playing a big role in helping the deal over the line.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will be key in Tyrique George move

Dewsbury-Hall signed for Everton from Chelsea back in the summer and became an instant fan favourite at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The 27-year-old has six goal contributions from 17 Premier League appearances so far this season, and has been so crucial for David Moyes in his attacking midfield role.

If Everton do manage to finalise a deal for George on deadline day, Dewsbury-Hall will have no problem linking up with the teenager.

Last season, the pair played together 19 times for Chelsea, as they were both part of the second-string XI that helped lift the Europa Conference League trophy.

Dewsbury-Hall will surely have had his say on the signing, revealing any information or opinions he has about George from their time together at Stamford Bridge.

The former Leicester City man could also have played a part in convincing George to choose the Toffees over some of his other options.

Why are Everton signing Tyrique George?

Everton are yet to make a signing in the winter transfer window, with Harrison Armstrong’s return from his loan at Preston North End being the closest thing to an incoming.

However, after Jack Grealish was ruled out until the end of the season by Moyes, the Merseyside outfit have been forced in the market.

George is a direct replacement for Grealish and will be expected to fill in on the left wing in the Manchester City loanee’s absence.

While they are two very different players, Moyes will be hoping that George can replicate Grealish’s early-season impact out wide and help drive Everton towards a European place.
