View: Everton may reignite pursuit of 75-cap int'l along with second deal from Euro club
Everton may make an approach to sign Juventus duo Edon Zhegrova and Jonathan David in the upcoming transfer window.
According to Corriere dello Sport on 7 May, the Italian club are willing to sell both the Kosovo international and the 26-year-old centre-forward for around £11million each.
Everton’s interest in David goes back a few years, with the Toffees being linked with him in 2024 while he was still at LOSC Lille.
As for Zhegrova, he decided to join the Bianconeri last summer amid links with a move to the Blues, but has struggled for game time in Turin and seems to be out of Luciano Spalletti’s plans for next season.
David Moyes needs backing at Hill Dickinson Stadium to make further progress in the Premier League table and a possible deal with Juventus could represent a move in the right direction from The Friedkin Group.

Jonathan David transfer a no-brainer for Everton
While David has failed to make a mark at Juventus, there’s still a quality player in him who Moyes will surely be able to unlock at the Toffees.
The Canada international, who has made 75 appearances for his national side, was once one of the hottest prospects during his time at Lille and a bad year at Juventus shouldn’t be used to judge him.
Serie A Statistics Jonathan David Appearances 33 Starts 20 Goals 6 Assists 4 Big chances missed 13 Big chances created 4
During the centre-forward’s time in Ligue 1, he consistently posted double figures in terms of goals, highlighting his ability as a finisher.
With Thierno Barry and Beto competing for a starting spot under the Scottish manager after an inconsistent campaign from both, it would make sense for the Merseyside outfit to reinforce their attack with a new number nine sooner rather than later.
Edon Zhegrova gamble on cards at Everton
Zhegrova is another player who has struggled to settle in at Juventus, giving Everton another opportunity to sign him.
With the likes of Tyler Dibling, Dwight McNeil and Merlin Rohl failing to adequately back up Iliman Ndiaye on the right-wing, the Toffees may be tempted to get the 27-year-old Kosovar ace.
TFG are under pressure at Hill Dickinson Stadium following fan dissatisfaction with the amount of money the Blues have spent over the last two transfer windows.
The American owners need to make a statement in the summer and a double raid on Juventus could potentially be part of it.
