View: Grealish endears himself even more to Everton fans without even kicking a ball
Jack Grealish hailed Everton‘s win over Chelsea as “unreal” after a thumping 3-0 rout of Liam Rosenior’s side.
Everton bolstered their chances of securing European football next season with a commanding victory against the confidence-shot Blues at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.
A brace from Beto and a superb Iliman Ndiaye effort drew David Moyes’ side level on points with seventh-placed Brentford, who are in pole position to qualify for the 2026-27 Conference League.
One man who was not involved in that game was injured loanee Jack Grealish, whose season has been ended by a foot problem.
But the Manchester City loanee was quick to take to social media, first to praise goalscorer Beto and then Everton as a team after condemning Chelsea to a fourth-straight loss.

Jack Grealish revels in win as Everton show more desire than Chelsea
Everton and Chelsea both have plenty to play for this season. The Toffees are aiming to get back into Europe for the first time since 2018.
And while the Blues are out of the Champions League after a drubbing at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain in the last-16, it is not like they don’t have much on the line.

Indeed, the sixth-placed west London outfit can still qualify for next season’s Champions League and are into the FA Cup quarter-finals.
But Everton seemed to show a lot more desire than the visitors on Merseyside. As this graphic below shows, they ran more and harder, and they edged the 50/50s, despite having a much older squad.

Incidentally, after Everton tweeted, “What a result. What a performance. What an atmosphere”, Grealish quickly followed up with his support.
He wrote in an Instagram story: “That whole game was just a pleasure to watch! Unreal. UTFT (Up the [expletive] Toffees).”
Everton have an option to purchase Grealish permanently from City for £50million. That seems unlikely but it does appear that the 30-year-old wants a permanent switch to the Toffees.
Indeed, even when he is resting up and watching games from home, Grealish is still endearing himself to Toffees fans.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s England snub looks even more baffling
A few eyebrows were raised when Everton forked out £28m to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea last summer. But the 27-year-old has proven to be an excellent acquisition for the Toffees so far.
In 24 Premier League appearances, the former Leicester City man, who missed more than a month of football due to a hamstring injury in December and January, has scored six goals and added five assists.
And against his old club Chelsea, Dewsbury-Hall gave the Blues pause for thought over whether or not they should have moved him on.

Not only is he an attacking threat, but the Everton midfielder also did his defensive duties well against Chelsea, with him forming an effective midfield with James Garner and Idrissa Gueye.
While Garner got his first England call-up on Friday, Dewsbury-Hall can maybe feel aggrieved at not making it into Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
He has been in top form for Everton and could have perhaps added something to the Three Lions’ group.
There is still time to earn a spot at the 2026 World Cup for his country but those hopes may be fading with this latest snub. Either way, Everton fans won’t mind too much if he fires them into Europe.
