View: Tottenham fans to have fingers crossed over Stelling call as 15-month first predicted vs Leeds
Tottenham Hotspur fans will have their fingers crossed after Jeff Stelling’s latest prediction ahead of facing Leeds United.
The Lilywhites are on a roll, with Roberto De Zerbi’s side winning two league matches on the bounce, lifting themselves out of the bottom three in the process.
It has been a dismal season for Spurs, who called upon De Zerbi in March with the instant goal of securing survival.
It is not done yet, but they have gone a long way to sealing the deal with successive wins against Wolves and Aston Villa.
Back on home soil for the first time since the 2-2 draw with Brighton, Spurs welcome Leeds United to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Jeff Stelling drops prediction that Spurs fans will love to hear
Heading into the clash against Wolves two weeks ago, Tottenham were winless in 2026.
And much like London buses, you wait that long for one that two come at once, with De Zerbi’s side beating Wolves and Aston Villa to climb out of the drop zone.

With West Ham facing Arsenal on Sunday, Spurs have a big chance to capitalise and move four points clear of their rivals, and Stelling believes that they will do exactly that.
“Leeds may well be safe by the time they kick off at Tottenham,” Stelling said on talkSPORT.
“They could be on the beach or they could be playing with complete freedom,” he added, with Tottenham handed a boost given that they have won their last five against the Whites.
“I have watched Leeds with real admiration in the Premier League this season, but I sense Spurs have reinvigorated under De Zerbi. And I think they can take a huge step towards Premier League safety by beating Leeds.
“I am going Tottenahm 2 and Leeds 1.”
Odds stacked in Tottenham’s favour as survival battle continues
Alongside their run of five wins in a row against Leeds, Spurs have actually won eight of their last nine, while the Whites have not secured an away result in North London in over six visits.
Only six sides have picked up more points than Leeds since the start of December, but their focus could well change should their safety be secured over the weekend.
With this in mind as well, Spurs are looking to win three consecutive league matches for the first time in 15 months – something Stelling expects to happen – which is a testament to De Zerbi’s efforts at Tottenham.

With their rivals playing the day before, fans have a conundrum given that it is Arsenal who are looking to beat West Ham.
However, should they beat the Hammers, the chance is there to take a huge step towards survival, with the result also impacting visitors Leeds, who could well be calling themselves a Premier League club for another year on Monday.
