Bojan Miovski's Rangers contract examined as Ibrox future looks uncertain
Bojan Miovski’s future at Rangers looks to be a subject of heavy discussion as the summer approaches.
The Macedonian forward returned to Scotland with the Gers in the summer, in a £4.2million deal from Spanish outfit Girona.
However, he has not been the regular goalscorer that he was expected to be, with just 10 goals in 36 appearances so far.
Youssef Chermiti and Ryan Naderi are above the 26-year-old in the pecking order under Danny Rohl, and that does not look like it will change anytime soon.
Rangers may look to sell Miovski, if he cannot have the desired impact before the end of the season and his position is uncertain.
🚨 RANGERS TRANSFER UPDATE 🚨
The latest breaking news on signings, departures, and Danny Röhl’s primary targets.
What is Miovski’s contract situation at Rangers?
Miovski signed for Rangers on a four-year contract, with many expecting him to continue the exploits that he did at Aberdeen previously, where he scored 44 goals in 98 appearances.
His current contract expires in 2029, which means that Rohl’s side could be stuck with him for another three seasons after this one.

They may decide to cut their losses, though, if they are not getting the required return for the 39-cap international.
What has Rohl said about Miovski?
Despite Miovski’s struggles in Govan, Rohl still seems to back the misfiring forward.
After his brace in the 3-0 win over Kilmarnock in December, he said:
However, a manager has got to keep his squad happy, so it does not necessarily mean that he be at Auchenhowie next season.
Why an exit makes sense for all parties
If the Gers can get a decent fee for Miovski, that is similar to the one that they paid, then it makes sense for them to sell.
His lack of game time in G51 has affected his status in the national team, so the player may well want an exit.
Statistics Bojan Miovski Appearances 24 Starts 13 Minutes per game 49 Goals 4 Assists 1 Big chances missed 7 Accurate passes per game 7.4 (80%) Aerial duels won per game 1.3 (34%)
He was benched for North Macedonia’s World Cup play-off semi final defeat to Denmark in the international break.
National team manager Goce Sedloski admitted that he picked the team based on club minutes, and that is why Miovski did not start.
If he wants to revive his international career, he may well need to get away from Rohl’s side to do so, as he is not favoured at the moment by the German boss.
