Nottingham Forest are set to take on FC Midtjylland on Thursday in the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie.

Since his appointment, much of Vitor Pereira’s success at the City Ground has come in Europe, with the manager yet to taste victory in the league.

However, on Thursday, he will face his toughest test in the competition yet, with the Danish side proving to be formidable opponents in the Europa League this season.

As a result, changes will have to be made for the match at the City Ground if Pereira wants to take an advantage into Jutland next week.

Therefore, Football Insider believes that Callum Hudson-Odoi will be one of two players recalled to the starting XI for the scintillating Nottingham Forest showdown.

Callum Hudson-Odoi to be recalled for Nottingham Forest vs FC Midtjylland

Despite his impressive season to date, Hudson-Odoi has been benched for Forest’s last two matches.

The winger came on as a substitute in both the defeat to Fenerbahce and the draw against Manchester City.

However, with Forest needing to take some sort of advantage to Denmark, they will need all the firepower they can get.

Therefore, Pereira will surely change the formation back to a 4-3-3 and return Hudson-Odoi to the starting XI.

In goal, Matz Sels remains in the team, with Ola Aina and right-back and Neco Williams at left-back.

The centre-back partnership will consist of Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic.

Into midfield, and Ibrahim Sangare and Elliot Anderson remained partnered, with Morgan Gibbs-White as the attacking midfielder.

Coming into the side, Omari Hutchinson and Hudson-Odoi start on the wings, with Igor Jesus remaining as the lone striker.
