Everton ready to match offer for striker deal, Euro club want £17m+ - report
Everton are ready to match Aston Villa’s £15.6million offer for Besiktas striker Tammy Abraham.
The England international has emerged as a target for the Toffees, but the centre-forward seems to prefer a move to the B6 club.
While Abraham has accepted a proposal from Villa, Unai Emery’s team are yet to reach an agreement with the Super Lig club.
David Moyes will be thrilled with Thierno Barry’s turn in form, with the French youngster scoring against the Lions at Villa Park in the Merseyside outfit’s 1-0 victory on 18 January, and they may be able to pip the Birmingham side for a winter signing.

Besiktas want over £17m for Everton target Tammy Abraham
Besiktas have asked for over £17m to sell Abraham amid Villa’s offer, according to Sabah.
The news outlet reports on 18 January that the striker has responded positively to the £4m contract proposal from Villa Park, but the transfer fee is yet to be finalised.
With the Istanbul club apparently not satisfied with the Lions’ proposition, the door may have opened at the Hill Dickinson Stadium to match the demands for the 28-year-old Englishman’s transfer.
If the Toffees match Abraham’s price tag, they could potentially go ahead of Villa in the race for his signature, and it will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds in the coming days.
Beto has been unreliable for Moyes this season, and it would definitely make sense for the Blues to bolster their attack before the 2 February deadline.
The former Chelsea ace has found his shooting boots once again in the current campaign, scoring 13 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions for Besiktas, and a return to the Premier League now looks possible.
Tyler Dibling already finished under David Moyes after latest transfer news
Wolfsburg forward Patrick Wimmer is a target at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the Toffees making contact for the 24-year-old Austrian, whose exit in January hasn’t been ruled out.
Everton appear to be planning to bolster their attack further, having only signed Tyler Dibling for £35m, excluding add-ons.
The former Southampton youngster has struggled at the Blues, and after being given multiple opportunities in recent weeks, it’s clear he isn’t good enough to start just yet.
Fans in L4 are quickly losing patience with Dibling, and the Merseyside outfit may already be making plans to replace him.
