Final assault made to prise Randal Kolo Muani away from Tottenham as deadline looms

Tottenham are facing fresh interest in on-loan striker Randal Kolo Muani before the winter window slams shut.

Last summer, Tottenham signed Kolo Muani on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain despite Juventus’ efforts to bring him back to the Serie A side.

Fast forward to the present, and forward Kolo Muani is already being linked with a Tottenham exit following an underwhelming first half of the campaign.

The 27-year-old has failed to register a solitary goal or assist in 16 Premier League appearances, and for the season as a whole, he has notched just six goal contributions in all competitions.

With Dominic Solanke seemingly Tottenham’s first-choice striker at present, something that has been solidified after a brace against Manchester City on Sunday, Kolo Muani is being linked with a Tottenham Hotspur Stadium departure.

Juventus eye move for Tottenham’s Randal Kolo Muani

In January 2025, France international Kolo Muani was loaned to Serie A team Juventus until the end of the season.

In that short stint, he impressed for the Italian giants, scoring 10 goals in 22 appearances. After scoring in his first three Serie A matches, he matched a feat last achieved for the club by Juventus great Roberto Baggio in 1990.

Now, Tuttomercatoweb, state that after mounting interest across January, Juve are making one “last assault” to try and re-sign Kolo Muani on loan.

The report adds that the former Eintracht Frankfurt star, who joined PSG in 2023 for a fee worth up to £78million, is pushing for a return to Turin but Tottenham don’t want to lose him without a replacement.

Kolo Muani is likely to get game time in the second half of the season as Richarlison is out injured and head coach Thomas Frank is likely to rotate between the Frenchman and Solanke.

But a return to Juve appears to be a tempting option. Whether or not it will happen before the winter window slams shut on Monday night is up in the air.

Thomas Frank makes transfer intentions clear

Tottenham may yet secure some deadline day signings before the window shuts, going by comments from Frank.

In mid-January, Tottenham signed Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher for a reported fee of £34million.

But other than recruiting Santos left-back Souza, this window has been fairly quiet for Spurs. However, former Brentford boss Frank is hopeful of doing some more business in the coming hours.

After the 2-2 draw with City, the Dane said: “We are active, no doubt about that. If something happens, let’s see.”

Tottenham currently sit 14th in the Premier League, just nine points clear of the relegation zone. To climb up the table, more signings may be needed.
