Ryan Naderi’s first words as a Rangers player after record-breaking deadline day announcement
Ryan Naderi has delivered a clear message after becoming Rangers’ fourth new addition of the January window on deadline day.
Danny Rohl has been pushing to add the striker to his squad in recent days, and the Gers finally got the move over the line in the final hours of the window.
Rangers confirmed Naderi’s arrival after the deadline, but had the necessary paperwork in place to continue with the transfer long into the night.
The 22-year-old has signed a long-term deal with the Glasgow giants as part of his move from Hansa Rostock, but he has already made it clear that he has very immediate aspirations.

Ryan Naderi has title aspirations at Rangers
Rangers were also chasing a late move for Cameron Archer, but ultimately saw their attempt to sign the Southampton man fall through on deadline day.
However, Naderi’s arrival has broken the record for the most expensive transfer of all-time in the German third tier, with the frontman seen as a strong long-term option for the Gers.
The youngster has eight goals and four assists to his name already this season, having spent the opening half of the campaign in the 3. Liga, and he has already shown that he is desperate to hit the ground running at Ibrox.
Naderi was interviewed for the Rangers website shortly after penning his deal, and it is clear that the history of the club has not been lost on the German.
He made it clear that he has come to Rangers to win trophies, and he is keen for that to start as quickly as possible, hopeful that he can provide an immediate boost to his new team’s title hopes.
“Rangers are a world-renowned club who have a history of winning silverware and that’s what I am here to achieve,” Naderi said.
“I am looking forward to meeting my new teammates, all of the staff and the supporters in the days and weeks ahead.
“I am ready to get started and I hope to have a positive impact on the team for the rest of the season.”
Ryan Naderi arrival spells the end for Danilo
Football Insider revealed on Sunday that Rangers were open to offers for Danilo in the final stages of the January window, and his fate has surely now been sealed.
The Brazilian ultimately failed to get a move on deadline day, but Naderi’s arrival will undoubtedly spell the end for his time at Ibrox in the long term.
Danilo is already down Rohl’s pecking order and firmly behind the duo of Youssef Chermiti and Bojan Miovski, and with Naderi now joining the group as well, his prospects of earning a starting spot will only get slimmer.
The 26-year-old is due to enter the final two years of his contract in the summer, and that will surely be the sign for Rohl and Co. to begin further work on trying to move him out the door.
Danilo has started just six games in the league so far this season, and if Naderi can have the level of impact that he is chasing from the start, then that tally is unlikely to increase any time soon.
