Tottenham confirm new appointment after Thomas Frank complaints

Thomas Frank has been left with his head in his hands over Tottenham’s persistent injury issues.

The Dane hasn’t had the best start to life in N17, but he hasn’t been helped with injuries.

Frank has faced calls for the sack following poor results and performances, but Joe Lewis and Co. could be waiting to give the former Brentford man a fair judgment once the squad’s fitness issues are resolved.

The Lilywhites now seem to be taking strong action to combat their injury crisis following Frank‘s displeasure at the situation.

Thomas Frank reunites with Liam Horgan amid injury crisis

Frank has said that injuries have been a challenge many times in press conferences and interviews, and he’ll be hoping that a couple of his winter additions can prove useful.

While some supporters may not agree with excuses, the truth is that Ange Postecoglou was also unable to guide Spurs to a positive Premier League finish last campaign, due to the same problems.

According to The Standard, amid ongoing injury problems at the club, the Lilywhites have decided to appoint Liam Horgan as the club’s first-team rehabilitation physiotherapist.

Horgan has previously worked with Frank when the pair were together at Brentford, and stayed with the Bees from 2019-2024 as first-team physio.

After he departed from Brentford, Horgan spent 18 months with Crystal Palace, and will now make the switch to North London.

What does Horgan’s appointment mean for Tottenham’s list of injured players?

Tottenham have shifted their physios into the rehab and performance department, and Horgan’s role will have full focus on players who are injured.

This means that the specialist will help guide players who are sidelined through their recovery process, while, at the same time, getting them back to peak fitness and minimising a recurring problem.

Tottenham’s current injured players:

Though he will focus mainly on those who are out, he will also be able to help players like Solanke, who is still yet to return to full fitness following his repeated ankle issue.

Frank will be hoping that the Lilywhites can now turn a new corner, and if the situation was to somehow get worse, the appointment of Horgan could fall on the Dane’s head.
