Wenham surprised by 'unusual moment' from Tottenham player, he'll still be off in summer
Randal Kolo Muani’s fortunes at Tottenham Hotspur have started to turn around in recent weeks.
The French forward has endured a difficult campaign at Hotspur Way, struggling to make the required impact.
However, Roberto De Zerbi has helped him to change perceptions, with a right-wing role proving beneficial for the 27-year-old.
He has started to come out of his shell, both on and off the pitch, playing a key role in Spurs’ battle against relegation.
Tottenham have a dilemma on Kolo Muani in the summer, whether to bring him in permanently or let him return to Paris Saint-Germain.

What has changed for Kolo Muani at Tottenham?
Kolo Muani’s performances have been very positive for Tottenham lately, and it seems that he has had a change in attitude.
John Wenham highlighted his newfound confidence, which saw him taunt the Aston Villa fans and high-five the travelling Lilywhites at Villa Park last time out.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “It was a very unusual moment, and it was from the most unlikely player to do that.
Kolo Muani’s stats this season Premier League Matches 27 Goals 1 Assists 1 Shots on target per 90 0.1 Big chances missed 7 Conversion rate 5% Successful dribbles 40%
Up until recently, we’ve not seen any of that sort of personality from Kolo Muani.
“Don’t get me wrong, he’s being forced to play out of position for the good of the team, he’s a striker, you can’t tell me, put him right midfield, but he’s doing his bit for the team.
“He’s not perfect in any shape or form, but he’s working hard, he’s trying to make things happen, and he’s now given this sort of positive character that we’re seeing.
“That came out with that substitution at Aston Villa, but also against Wolves when Palhinha scored at Wolves, he sort of erupted from the touchline and did a massive celebration more than anybody else, something has clicked with him and De Zerbi.
“He even said we’ve seen not the best version of Kolo Muani, and he’s a better player than what we’re seeing.
“So I think he’s just going to keep working with him until the summer, I still don’t think there’s any chance that he’ll be back at Tottenham next year.”
Would Tottenham take a cut-price deal?
Wenham does not even believe that Spurs should entertain a cut-price deal for the Frenchman, if the Parisians are willing to let him go for a bargain price.
Proposed with a hypothetical of a £25million price tag, he said: “I even think at that rate I probably wouldn’t buy him.

“It’s not his fault, I don’t mind him as a person, I just think we’ve got other issues in the squad than spending £25 million on him.
“If they said, look, you can have him on loan again at the same terms that you’ve got him now, then there could be a deal done there if he continues to play well between now and the end of the season.”
It looks like he will still be off in the summer, no matter what happens.
