Victor Osimhen has expressed deep gratitude to Galatasaray supporters following the emotional tribute they organised for him ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Nigerian striker took to Instagram shortly after Galatasaray’s 1–0 victory at RAMS Park in the first leg of the round of 16 to thank fans for the touching banner honouring his late mother.

In a heartfelt post, Osimhen admitted he struggled to hold back his emotions when the tribute appeared in the stands. The former Napoli forward went on to describe the gesture as something he will never forget.

Tonight was emotional for me as I struggled to hold back my tears. Seeing this show of love from Galatasaray fans honestly is something I will never forget for the rest of my life.

From the first day I arrived, you welcomed me with so much love and respect, not only me but also my family and the people close to me.
