Rangers to keep Djedi Gassama in winter transfer window

Gassama is expected to stay at the Gers for the remainder of the season, Joshua Barrie says.

The reliable journalist reveals that despite interest in the Frenchman, an exit from Ibrox isn’t on the cards in the coming weeks.

However, the Light Blues may look to cash in on the forward in the summer, and they will surely multiply their investment in him.

Speaking on The Rangers Review on 19 January, Barrie said, “Our understanding is he’s going to stay despite interest. Rangers could make a tidy profit on him in the summer.”

With clubs in the MLS, Spain and Belgium monitoring Gassama, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a bidding war for his signature sooner rather than later.

The youngster has already played 37 games for the Glaswegian outfit in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing three assists, and he undoubtedly has a big future ahead of him.
